Mission

As a Navy Veteran as well as a psychotherapist, my mission is to provide the highest caliber psychotherapy to active duty military members, veterans, and their families. Compassion combined with evidence based trauma informed psychotherapy for PTSD, depression, anxiety, relationship issues, and a myriad of other mental health concerns. I am familiar with the military and the effects this can have in all aspects of our lives, especially in our mental health and wellness. We will work collaboratively to integrate various treatment modalities to meet the needs of you as the client.

Types of Psychotherapy Offered

  • Individual Psychotherapy

  • Telehealth or in person

  • Not offering child or adolescent therapy at this time

  • Not offering Couples Therapy

  • Group Therapy

Goals

The main goal of therapy is to explore the areas of our mind that we have shut off or shut down in order to survive and accomplish the tasks at hand. Being cut off and disconnected are risk factors for suicide, depression, anxiety, and exacerbation of many other underlying issues. Therefore, in therapy we seek to reconnect both within our own mind and body healing as well as connecting to others again. To maximize the effects of psychotherapy, my main goals for this practice are as follows:

01.

Create Collaborative Treatment Plans - We develop and discuss our treatment plan before and during treatment.

02.

Maintain dignity and respect for each other and each of our human qualities.

03.

Challenge each other to push beyond what we thought was possible.

04.

Healing is not a one time event; it is something that slowly occurs through hard work, kindness, flexibility, and openness.
